There will be five new telephone/mobile area codes launching in the US in the new year and Zip Data Maps has the latest interactive maps covering these areas:
Area Code 235 – 235 will be an overlay area code of the current 573 area code in Eastern Missouri covering the suburbs of Metro Saint Louis. Area code 235 will begin operation on March 24, 2024.
Area Code 324 – 324 will be an overlay area code of the current 904 area code in Metro Jacksonville Florida. Area code 324 will begin operation on February 26, 2024.
Area Code 327 – 327 is a new area code in the Eastern Portion of Arkansas that will be an overlay area code for the current 870 area code. 327 will cover the suburbs of Little Rock as well Jonesboro, West Memphis and Pine Bluff. Area code 327 will begin operation on February 20, 2024.
Area Code 436 – 436 is a new area code in Northeastern Ohio along Lake Erie covering the suburbs of Cleveland, Lorain, Elyria and Ashtabula. 436 is an overlay for area code 440. Area code 436 will begin operation on March 1, 2024.
Area Code 686 – 686 is a new area code in the Richmond-Petersburg Area of Virginia. 686 will be an overlay for the current Richmond area code 804. Area code 804 will begin operation on February 1, 2024.
